Tamma-Lynn McGinnis

Tamma-lynn McGinnis is our Kindergarten Teacher and she has an impressive 33 years of teaching experience which 29 of them dedicated to HVAS—Mrs. McGinnis is a pillar of our early education team. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Walla Walla University and is passionate about creating a classroom environment where young students thrive.

Mrs. McGinnis’s goal is to engage young learners through creativity, best educational practices, and developmentally appropriate activities. Her approach is designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning. As she puts it, her "educator’s heart" overflows when she sees a student conquer a challenge or hears them exclaim, "This is the best day ever!" She is dedicated to sparking joy in her classroom every single day.

When she isn't teaching, Tamma-lynn loves spending time with family and friends and exploring the country. An avid traveler, she has visited 27 National Parks so far, with Mesa Verde in Colorado being her absolute favorite. She is also a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast who has never met a coffee shop she didn't like.
