Ms. Flora Rivera brings a rich background and passion for the arts to our students as the Music Teacher. She is celebrating her second year at Hood View Adventist School (HVAS) and has an impressive 32 years of teaching experience overall.
Ms. Rivera’s educational journey is diverse, showcasing her commitment to both science and the arts:

For Ms. Rivera, the magic of the music room lies in student development. She enjoys "seeing the kids grow" and believes that "Making music together provides a solid foundation, the joy of discovery, and good challenges."

Language Journey: She accomplished the impressive feat of learning English at age 30.
Early Years: A quirky fact is that she was kicked out of school in first grade (a history that clearly didn't slow down her educational success!).
Hobbies: She loves being active outdoors, enjoying hiking and snowmobiling.
